How to Participate in the Preparation of the 2010-2020 Forest Management Plan for the Sudbury Forest

This is the first Forest Management Plan (FMP) prepared on the Sudbury Forest using the new 10-year planning period.  The current 2010-2020 FMP consists of two 5-year operational plan with same 10-year strategic direction.

Public Consultation for the new 10 year period takes place in two phases.  Phase 1 covers detailed operations for the first 5-year term and preferred areas for the second 5-year term. The consultation for Phase 1 is complete and the operational plan is being implemented.

Consultation for Phase 2 covers detailed operations for the second five year term with consultation beginning in the third year of the first five year term (Spring of 2013).  The bulk of the opportunity for input into plan direction is in Phase 1, however it is important to also participate in the development of Phase 2.
